MECCA — A man and a woman are dead in a late-night shooting in Mecca, according to the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened about 9 p.m. at 6067 Hoagland Blackstub Road. A Trumbull County 911 spokesman said that a female caller, who said she was hiding in a closet at the home, reported that a man had just shot her mom inside the home.

Reports indicate when law enforcement officers approached the front of the home, they heard two more gunshots. A man was found with a gunshot wound to the head. The woman was found in a bedroom.

Police have not yet released the identities of the victims.
