Tues. 6 p.m.: Thousands without power in Howland, Warren

HOWLAND — A transformer fire has caused power outages in the Warren and Howland areas, according to the Trumbull County 911 Center.

A dispatcher said the power is also out at the center and they are working on generator power. According to Ohio Edison, there are more than 6,400 customers without power, including 4,300 in Warren, nearly 2,000 in Howland, and 141 in Weathersfield.

It is unknown when power will be restored.
