Mon. 11:13 a.m.: Former NFL player, WGH star arrested

WARREN – Warren native and former NFL wide receiver Mario Manningham spent the Thanksgiving weekend in the Trumbull County Jail after being arrested on a warrant Wednesday.

Manningham, 1544 Sherry Lane SE, Canton, was a passenger in a car he owns when he was arrested during a traffic stop on Cherry Avenue NW near West Market Street.

He is scheduled to appear at 1:30 p.m. today in Warren Municipal Court.

Manningham is accused of failing to appear in court in November on a charge of driving under suspension filed in May.

Manningham filed a written plea of not guilty on June 28 in Warren Municipal court after not showing up for the a court date in May, which caused an arrest warrant to be issued. The warrant was removed after he filed the written plea.

A second arrest warrant was issued Nov. 27, when Manningham did not appear for a final pretrial hearing that was scheduled to take place the day before.
