Tues. 12:25 p.m.: Former Vienna police officer pleads guilty

WARREN – Former Mathews School Resource Officer and Vienna police officer Sgt. Michael Sheehy pleaded guilty to charges associated with break-ins at the school and police department.

Sheehy, 32, pleaded guilty this morning in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to two counts of breaking and entering, theft in office, possessing criminal tools, petty theft and aggravated possession of drugs, according to Trumbull County assistant prosecutor Christopher Becker.

Judge Andrew D. Logan ordered a background check before a sentence is imposed. Becker said his office is asking for jail time.
