Fri. 11:02 a.m.: 2 arrested in Lordstown bottle throwing assault

LORDSTOWN – Two men were arrested on charges related to the July 5 assault of a bicyclist hit with a water bottle thrown from a passing vehicle in the 5100 block of Tod Avenue, police said.

Lordstown police Chief Brent Milhoan said this morning that video taken by another driver helped police track down the suspects.

Damian Lee Brumfield, 21, of South Leavitt Road, Warren Township, driver of the car, and his passenger, Justin James Testerman, 18, of Beaver Avenue in Niles, are suspected of being the two men captured on the footage provided by the dash camera of a nearby tractor-trailer rig, Milhoan said.

Both men were booked and have been summoned to appear Monday in Newton Falls Municipal Court on charges of assault.
