Mon. 11:40 a.m.: UPDATE – Two dead, two hospitalized in Niles fire
NILES – Two people are dead and two others are hospitalized stemming from an overnight fire at a 307 Scott Ave., Niles, home.
The state fire marshal is investigating the cause, and no identities have been released yet.
The fire call came in to dispatchers just before 4:30 a.m. this morning, Niles fire officials said.
Those injured are hospitalized at St. Elizabeth hospital and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
A fire fighter also is being treated for heart issues, and two dogs also died in the fire. A third dog is being treated for smoke inhalation an area veterinary clinic.
