WARREN — A gas leak occurred after a contractor hit a gas line Friday morning.

The contractor was doing work underground at 8650 Hidden Hills Drive when the line was struck, said Neil Durbin, senior communications specialist with Dominion East Ohio Gas.

“It was a 2 inch medium pressure plastic line that had been hit by a contractor,” said Durbin. “We lost service to four homes in the vicinity.”

The leak was reported around 11 a.m. and crews were able to get the gas shut off by 12:30 p.m., Durbin said.
