Wed. 9 p.m.: 44 apply for Newton Falls manager post

NEWTON FALLS – Officials have received 44 applicants for the village manager position that will become open at the end of November after council in May voted 3-2 not to renew the contract of Jack Haney.

Council has scheduled a work session 5 p.m. Monday at the municipal building to review and discuss the position and the applicants.

Third Ward Councilman Mark Stimpert asked the five-member council to review the list of applicants and each select the three they would like to have interviewed and to also come up with three questions they would like to ask the candidates that are selected for interviews.

Read Thursday’s Tribune Chronicle for a list of the applicants.
