Wed. 10:15 p.m.: Warren looks to lease space in Government Service building
WARREN – The city is looking at leasing a portion of the second floor of the Warren Government Service building to an international telemarketing firm, according to Community Development Director Michael Keys.
City council today approved legislation that will allow the administration to begin the process of determining the lease price for approximately 5,000 square feet of the building, which used to the Gibson building.
Keys would not name the company that has expressed interest in a five-year lease agreement. However, Keys did say the company would potentially bring 30 new jobs to the area.
The Warren Government Service Building, 258 East Market St., Warren, is a three-story building that houses the Social Security Administration offices, Women Infants and Children (WIC), as well as several city departments, including Warren’s Health Department, Community Development and Income Tax.
