Mon. 10:37 a.m.: Porch fire damages Warren home

WARREN — A front porch fire early this morning caused significant damage to the two-story, single family home at 1028 Woodland Ave. NE, firefighters said.

There were seven people in the house at the time of the fire, but no one was injured, according to the fire department. The Red Cross is assisting the family with shelter.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters from each of the city’s three stations were dispatched at 2:38 a.m. Firefighters remained on the scene for about 2 hours and 10 minutes, according to the fire report.
