MECCA — With the recent heavy snow and ice, a large sinkhole has formed a short distance east of Mecca Circle, along state Route 88.

A Trumbull County 911 supervisor reported receiving calls from motorists Sunday afternoon of the large sinkhole near Mecca Cones and Coneys, 2312 Greenville Road NE.

The 911 supervisor said no people were reported injured or vehicles damaged.

The Ohio Department of Transportation was contacted to look at the sinkhole and how to make repairs to the area of the road, the 911 report states.
