Sat. 11 a.m.: Champion boys maintain lead in tight game

COLUMBUS – The Champion Golden Flashes boys baseball team are holding onto a 1-0 lead at the bottom of the fourth inning.

They escaped another jam with Andrew Russell striking out two to work around a leadoff double and sacrifice bunt against the state’s top-ranking Berlin Hiland.

It is the local team’s first-ever Division III state title game appearance in Huntington Park, Columbus.
