WARREN – With almost 12 percent of the vote counted, Glenn W. Holmes, mayor of McDonald, leads a three-way race for the Democratic party nomination for Ohio’s 63rd District House seat.

Early returns from the Trumbull County Board of Elections show Holmes has 48 percent of the vote.

Benjamin A. Kyle, a councilman in Hubbard, has 29 percent and Marianne James, a retired teacher, has 22 percent.

The seat is without an incumbent. State Rep. Sean J. O’Brien, D-Bazetta, gave up running for a fourth term in the district to run for Democratic nomination for the 32nd District Ohio Senate seat.
