Girard Free Library hosting summer children’s program June 18
LIBRARY SUMMER PROGRAM: The Girard Free Library will host its summer children’s program. Registration begins today with the programs beginning 11 a.m. to noon June 18 with a foam party kickoff. All programs require signup. For information, call 330-545-2508
CROCHET PROGRAM: The Girard Free Library will host a crocheters program at 6 p.m. today where participants will make amigurumi whales. This is an intermediate crochet class. All materials will be provided.
NEEDLE FELTED CLASS: A Needle Felted Bumble Bee program will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McKinley Memorial Library in Niles. Learn the basics of needle felting and create a cute bumble bee with the help of Gwen Brown from Gwen Erin Natural Fibers. No experience is necessary. Supplies will be provided. GARAGE SALES: The West Farmington Rainbow Girls are hosting the 17th annual Farmington Community Garage Sale Weekend 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. More than 50 families are participating and maps are available at the post office and local businesses. In addition to the community sales, the Rainbow Girls also will have a rummage, concessions and bake sale at the Farmington Community Church that weekend. NEWTON FALLS 1965: The Newton Falls High School Class of 1965 will celebrate its 60-year graduation reunion Friday at the VFW banquet hall on Arlington Road, Newton Falls.
Registration and social hour will be 5 to 6 p.m. with the buffet dinner beginning at 6 p.m.

ROSE LUNCHEON FUNDRAISER: The Warren Women’s Club is hosting its 62nd annual Rose Luncheon at 11 a.m. June 18 at DiVieste’s Banquet Center on Elm Road in Warren. This year, 92 baskets will be featured plus the five items on the raffle ticket with a value of $500 each. The fundraiser is held to help maintain the clubhouse at 708 North Park Ave., Warren. Proceeds also are donated to various charities in the Trumbull County area. Tickets are $30 each, which includes a door prize entry. ICE CREAM SOCIAL: Delightful Church, 2473 Barclay Messerly Road, Southington, will host a free indoor ice cream social 4 to 6 pm. June 14. The church will not host any free dinners in July or August.
SUMMER CAMP: Easterseals of Northeast Ohio will host a free Kinship summer camp in conjunction with Direction Home of Eastern Ohio 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday June 16 through July 31 at 261 Monroe St. NW, Warren. The camp is designed for children ages 5 to 10 being raised by a relative who is age 55 and older. Registration is open and space is limited. Call 330-743-1168.
