POKER RUN FOR AUTISM: The 13th annual Mike Hull Memorial Poker Run for Autism will be Saturday at the Dash Inn on Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown. Signups begin at 10 a.m. and the first bike leaves at noon following a blessing of the bikes. The last bike will return to the Dash Inn at 5 p.m. Entry fee is $20 per bike, with proceeds going to support families with children on the autism spectrum in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. The poker run is being supported by American Legion Post 737, Quaker City Eagles Post 316, VFW Post 5532 and AMVETS Post 44. Food tickets for nonriders are $10, with kids 12 and younger $5. TOWNSHIP GARAGE SALES: Weathersfield Township will host the Mineral Ridge community garage sales 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Sunday. Many homes and neighborhoods in the township are participating. Paper maps with addresses of the different participating locations will be available at 3950 Niles Carver Road and 3838 Sable Creek Drive.

MEMORY GARDEN: Shepherd of the Valley Liberty is hosting a grand opening of its new Memory Garden, a specially designed outdoor space created to support seniors living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at 1501 Tibbetts-Wick Road. Limited parking will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. DANCE LESSONS: The local USA Dance Youngstown Warren Chapter is sponsoring an August Dance on Sunday at Avon Oaks in Girard. The evening features ballroom dance lessons, sponsored by local dance instructor Dave Czifra. The evening will start with a 5 p.m. hustle basics, a 5:30 p.m. intermediate hustle lesson, followed by general dancing, from 6:15 to 9 p.m. There will be a mix of ballroom, rhythm, Latin, swing and club dance music.

Cost is $10 for USA Dance members, $15 for nonmembers, $3 for students (full-time high school or college).
