Seeing Eye: Northwest Neighborhood Association plans meeting
MEET AND GREET: The Northwest Neighborhood Association monthly meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at Grace Methodist Church, Warren. The meeting will be a meet and greet of candidates for the May election. There will be a question-and-answer period. All are welcome.
Socks for the Warren Family Mission are being collected as well as nonperishable food items for the church pantry.
BURGUNDY AND PINK TEA: The missionary society of Grace AME Church in Warren will host its 37th annual Burgundy and Pink Tea, 4 p.m. April 13. The theme for the occasion is “Beautiful, Elegant and Blessed Women … Featuring First Ladies.” Wear your finest hat or fascinator and gloves. Refreshments will be served after the program.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling the church office at 330-394-6270 or Freda at 330-394-5058. The ticket deadline is Monday.
CHALK THE WALK: Families of Newton Falls Elementary School students in grades third to fifth are invited to Chalk the Walk 4 p.m. Monday outside the school, weather permitting. Parents and the public are encouraged to write messages of encouragement for the third to fifth graders for their state testing.
PET YOGA: The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County will hold a Shelter Pup Yoga event noon Saturday at the shelter off state Route 193 in Vienna. Liz Hoffman of the Village Yoga Community and adoptable AWL shelter animals will take part in the yoga program.
Donation of $10 for walk-ins with gentle yoga for ages 8 and older. For information, call 330-539-5300.
METAPHYSICS GROUP: Beyond The Realm Metaphysics Study Group and meditations will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the SCOPE center, 375 North Park Ave., Warren, and continue the first and third Mondays thereafter.
PLANTINGS FOR POLLINATORS: A program, Plantings for Pollinators, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Brookfield Library Branch, Grove Street.
Amy Reeher from the Trumbull County Soil and Water Conservation District returns with a presentation about pollinators. The free event is for adults. For information, call 330-448-8134.
SCHOOL PLAY: The Girard High School Drama Club will present the musical and comedy “The Adams Family” 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at the high school cafetorium. Tickets will be available at the door. There will be a basket raffle and 50-50 raffle.
LATIN MASS: Parish Mission of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 525 Lawrence Ave., Girard, will offer a Latin language mass sponsored by the Priestly Society of Pius X from 6 to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to noon Sunday.
CHURCH CONCERT: Cortland Church of the Nazarene, 293 E. Main St., will host Calvary’s Love of Doylestown 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
