Newton Falls Library welcomes crafters

HOOKS AND NEEDLES: The Newton Falls Library will hold Hooks and Needles Club 2 p.m. Thursday in the library meeting room for adults. The program is for knitters, crocheters or anyone else interested in the yarn arts. Bring your project and enjoy the company of fellow yarn enthusiasts. Meets the first and third Thursdays of the month.

EASTER BASKETS: Emmanuel Community Care Center in Girard is hosting an Easter basket distribution for children ages 2 to 11 whose parents are registered at the center. Those registered who wish to receive an Easter basket should call the center between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through April 4. All families will be called when baskets are ready for pickup.

Individuals who would like to donate candy or small toys to make up the Easter baskets should contact the center at 330-545-4301. Items must be delivered to the center by April 1.

ROTARY SEEKS NOMINATIONS: The Niles Rotary Club is seeking nominations for its Citizen of the Year for 2025. Nominees must live in Niles and have demonstrated selfless acts.

Nominations are to be sent to David Buttar by April 15 at david@photoidbadges.com.

The Rotary Club is also taking orders for the yearly “Fly the Flag” campaign to honor those who have served or are currently serving. Flags will be installed in mid-May. For flags, contact Paul Rhodes at dusty44446@hotmail.com.
