McKinley library collecting toys
HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE: The McKinley Memorial Library is partnering with Niles Community Services to collect toys, puzzles and books for children ages birth to 13. Donations should be new, unopened and unwrapped. Donations may be dropped off at the library or at Niles Community Services. The collection will begin Nov. 11 and run through Dec. 7.
RUMMAGE AND BAKE SALE: Orwell United Methodist Church, 80 S. Maple St., Orwell, is hosting a rummage and bake sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday for $3 a bag in the church basement. Enter through the side door. For information, call 440-563-1014.
HELPING HANDS CRAFTS: The Helping Hands Craft Show at Howland Community Church, 198 Niles Cortland Road SE, will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be up to 30 vendors and each one will donate an item for a raffle. There will be a door prize and a 50 / 50 raffle. The kitchen will be open featuring freshly made lunch and dessert. There also will be a bake sale. The Helping Hands Craft Show supports the Client Choice Pantry, Free Fellowship Meal, Operation Shoeleather and other mission projects.
CHRISTMAS LOOP: Spanning the Need is announcing with 330ToGO to create a magical Christmas Loop in Northeast Ohio and the Mahoning Valley. This collaborative effort is set to spread holiday cheer and goodwill across communities as they prepare to usher in the festive season.
Starting on Nov. 1 and running through Nov 20, families, individuals and organizations are invited to submit their addresses for participation in the Christmas Loop, as well as include information about charities they are supporting through holiday displays.
