TRICK OR TREAT AT STADIUM: Girard High School National Honor Society will host trick or treat for children 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Girard High School football stadium. The high school band will perform. The program is for Girard City Schools children.
ALUMNI WALL: Champion High School alumni and / or family members of alumni are asked to contact Champion High School Principal Tracy Herrholtz, who is working to create a legacy wall in the senior hallway of the high school. Anyone who can help or has class composite photos is asked to call the high school at 330-847-2305. Years needed are 1939-1942, 1945, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1953, 1954, 1974-1986 and 1995.
LIBERTY HALLOWEEN: Liberty Healthcare and Liberty Assisted Living, 1355 Churchill Hubbard Road, will host trick or treat for children from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today.
NEEDLES AND HOOKS: McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will host Needles, Hooks and Books 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the McKinley Birthplace Replica Home on state Route 46 in Niles. Attendees can bring their knitting, crocheting and sewing projects. Lessons will not be provided.
RUMMAGE SALE: Good Shepherd Community Church, 4600 Eagle Creek Road, Leavittsburg, will host a rummage sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
SPEAKER SERIES: The McKinley Memorial Museum and Trumbull County Historical Society will host a Sunday Speakers series at 2 p.m. Sunday with Dr. Martha Pallante, who will discuss “Remembering the 1924 Niles KKK riots on the 100th anniversary.” Registration is required.
TEEN HALLOWEEN: The McKinley Memorial Library will host Teen Scene 3:30 p.m. Thursday for ages 12 to 18 to make a faux pumpkin. Registration is required by calling 330-652-1704, ext. 4.
SIGN-UPS FOR THANKSGIVING: Signups are being accepted for Thanksgiving at the Emmanuel Care Center in Girard. Through Nov. 8, families who are registered at the center and wish to receive assistance can call 330-545-4301. Gift cards will be given to families instead of boxes of food. Anyone wishing to donate to the Emmanuel Center to help families in need is asked to make monetary donations or donate gift cards to Aldi, Walmart or Giant Eagle. Donations are needed by Nov. 15 and can be mailed to the Emmanuel Care Center, 2 N. State St., Girard, OH 44420. For questions, call the center at 440-545-4301. Families will pick up items on Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
