Purple for Palmer Epilepsy Walk set

EPILEPSY WALK: The second annual Purple for Palmer Epilepsy Walk will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Harding Park in Hubbard. The walk is Halloween themed. All participants are encouraged to dress up and will have the opportunity to trick or treat while walking. There also will be an auction, 50/50 raffle, face painting, DJ, food truck, costume contest and other activities. For more details, go to Facebook and search “Purple for Palmer Epilepsy Walk”.
GIRARD CLEANUP: The fall cleanup at Girard Cemetery will be through Oct. 13 for pulling flowers and cleaning graves. After Oct. 13, employees will remove plants on graves in preparation for holiday wreaths.
HAYRIDES: There will be free hayrides 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Pavilion, 3179 Hoagland Blackstub Road. Cortland. Other activities include games, rides, prizes and a cookout.
FALL REVIVAL: General Assembly Church of God, 2021 E. River Road, Newton Falls, is holding a revival 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. There will be special singing Saturday and Sunday. The Rev. Tommy Gillum will share the message.
CHURCH CONCERT: Church at Warren, 3179 Hoagland Blackstub Road, Bazetta, will host the Stevens Family in concert 10:45 a.m. Sunday,
FARM BUREAU EVENT: The Trumbull County Farm Bureau will have its annual meeting Oct. 5, at CDL Maple 4484 York Street, Farmdale. The event will begin with a social at 9 a.m., followed by breakfast and the business meeting at 9:30 a.m. There will be an auction to benefit the scholarship fund.
Tickets are $15 per member, $20 per non-member, $5 children 6-12, and children 5 and under are free.

FIRST WEDNESDAY: The Upton House, 380 Mahoning Ave., Warren, will open their “First Wednesday” speaker series Oct. 2 with East Liverpool attorney Tim Brookes, who will talk about the life and exploits of gangster and bank robber “Pretty Boy” Floyd who met his demise in East Liverpool.
On Nov. 6, Amanda Manahan of the Oberlin Heritage Center will speak about the local and national impact of Women’s Suffrage in Oberlin.
The events will be held at The Upton House with refreshments at 9:30 a.m. followed by the program at 10 a.m. The programs are free, however, donations are welcome.
