CLUB LUNCHEON: The Warren Women’s Connection will host its monthly luncheon 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at DeLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. The theme is “Swing your Partner,” which will feature Gene Hammond from Warren SCOPE talking about “Ever Try Square Dancing?” and Terri Sevinsky sharing “An Optimistic Pessimist.”

TRACTOR SHOW: The 27th annual Antique Tractor Club of Trumbull County’s tractor show will be Aug. 19, 20 and 21 at the club grounds, 1653 Ridge Road, Vienna.

In the 1960s, the White Motor Company acquired the Oliver Corporation and Minneapolis Moline. In 1974, the last Prairie Gold Minneapolis Moline tractor, a model G-955, was manufactured. The last tractor bearing the Oliver name rolled off the assembly line in 1976. It was a model 2255, Meadow Green with Clover White wheels, grill and lettering. These companies were acquired by Agco Corporation, headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, when it was formed in 1990.

There will be vendors with handcrafted items as well as direct sales representatives from various companies. For the kids there’s a bounce house, play ground and a barrel train ride.

There will be a different basket auction each day. Drawing will be 4 p.m. Winners need not be present.

Friday, tractors will be arriving. Saturday’s festivities start with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. At noon, there will be a members-only garden tractor pull for bragging rights. Jim Hein will perform country / bluegrass music at 2 p.m.

Sunday, there will be a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. At 9 a.m., an outdoor church service with Ed Agler delivering the message. Saving Grace Group will sing, and at noon the Ground Pounders Unlimited LLC garden tractor pulling club will drag the sled down the track.

Visit the club’s concession trailer, where you’ll find its famous bean soup. There also will be homemade cobblers and other dishes. The Ohio Branch K9 Search Team will appear noon to 4 p.m. Sunday selling items and performing demonstrations.

Other areas to visit include the Memories of Yesteryear building, located in the northwest area of the grounds; a blacksmith exhibition will be at the south end of the grounds; a post office building from East Orwell; and a scale house from Lockwood.

For those interested in joining, memberships will be available at the show. Individual memberships are $14 and family memberships are $16.

New members are welcome at the monthly meetings, which take place 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month at the club grounds, weather permitting.

WARREN WESTERN RESERVE 1982: Warren Western Reserve High School class of 1982 will celebrate a reunion weekend beginning with the Harding vs. Hudson football game tailgate party at 5 p.m. Sept. 2, at Mollenkoff Stadium in the northwest parking lot, and followed by the game.

A dinner will be 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 3, at Aulizio’s Catering and Banquet Center, 4395 Youngstown Road SE, Warren. Cost is $45 per person. Take your own beverage. Mixers will be furnished.
