Freedom event at First Presbyterian

JUNETEENTH SERVICE: First Presbyterian Church of Warren, 256 Mahoning Ave. NW, will present a Juneteenth Day of Freedom service 7 p.m. Tuesday. The community worship service of remembrance, confession and hope will reflect on the significance of Juneteenth.

MALL PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN: The Eastwood Mall in Niles is offering summer fun events for children. Tuesday for Toddlers is 11 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month for ages 2 to 5. Camp Marshmallow will be held 11 a.m. each Tuesday June 28 to July 26 with children learning about the outdoors with activities, guest speakers and interactive programs. The free summer camp will educate children on outdoor safety, camping and wildlife. For information visit eastwoodmall.com.

IDORA PARK: The National McKinley Birthplace Memorial in Niles will present “Remembering Idora Park” from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday with speakers Jim and Toni Amey. The Ameys are the curators and owners of the Idora Park Experience. The Ameys will be sharing their stories and invite the public to share their memories of the park. An exhibit of Idora Park items are being shown through Saturday. Three books about Idora Parks and tickets to the Idora Park Experience July 2 and 3 in Canfield will be on sale.

SIDEWALK CHALK DAY: The Girard Free Library will offer a By the Sea Sidewalk Chalk program on Tuesday with families invited to decorate the library sidewalks with seascapes. The Oceans of Possibilities Splash kickoff will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 pm. Wednesday with a mermaid. There will be a treasure chest, jewelry and pirate gear for photos.

MASTER GARDENER PROGRAM: Trumbull County Master Gardener Wanda Thomas will speak 6 p.m. Thursday at Girard Free Library. She will provide information on fertilizer tips and tricks. She also will discuss the best products to use. Registration is required at 330-545-2508.

KOREAN WAR DEDICATION: Korean War Veterans Association at 1 p.m. June 26 will rededicate the KWVA Memorial and Korean Defense Monument in Austintown across from the fire department on Mahoning Avenue. All Korean War veterans and their families are invited.
