Newton Falls to aid food pantries

CANNED FOOD DRIVE: The Newton Falls High School Career Based Intervention program, in cooperation with the Newton Falls Police Department and the Newton Falls Church Mouse, is hosting its fourth annual canned food drive through Nov. 13. Cans are being collected in the student’s first-period class.

Non-student donations are being accepted at both the high school and junior high school offices.

In addition to donating to local food pantries, half of the donations will be used for the NFHS in-house food pantry. The items will be used to feed over 300 families during the holiday season.

RIBBON CUTTING: ONE Health Ohio and RISE Recovery will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. today to celebrate the new Baby on Board service line that offers specialized counseling in maternal mental health and maternal addiction. The event will take place at Lloyd McCoy Community Center, 1977 Niles Road SE, Warren.

WOMEN’S CLUB LUNCHEON: The Trumbull County Republican Women’s Club next luncheon meeting will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hippodrome Banquet Center, Warren. The speaker will be Mary Beth Kemmer, president of the Ohio Federation of Republican Women.
