Letter of Faith: US isn’t great without God
I have not written a letter for awhile. I guess I really don’t know where to begin. I don’t understand America anymore, and I don’t think God does either.
Perhaps the best description of it appears in the Bible, in II Timothy Chapter 3.
Many people today are lovers of themselves, lovers of money, arrogant, abusive, ungrateful, unholy, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God, having a form of religion, but denying the power of God.
Like a lot of people, I would like to see America at peace with itself, a beacon of brotherhood and integrity. But make no mistake, America will never be great without God. If we do not turn back to God, as a nation and an individuals and we choose to continue on the road we are traveling.
I see no reason not to change our national motto. Without personal discipline, without integrity, without a foundation on the true Rock of Ages, our Heavenly Father, we will be adrift in a sea of sin.
Unfortunately, we obviously do not have that foundation, nor do we trust in God.
Therefore, I believe a more appropriate motto for the United States today would be “Anything Goes.”
We endorse abortion, gay marriage, open borders, sanctuary cities, money and benefits and citizenship for votes, pardons for white-collar criminals and the list goes on and on.
We are supporting a swamp in Washington, D.C.
Truly, anything goes.
