Hubbard library hosting book sale

HALLOWEEN-THEMED EVENT: Hubbard Friends of the Library will host a fall book sale 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the library parking lot. New this year will be a trunk or treat throughout the event. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and / or dress-up for the occasion.

All proceeds from book sales and donations directly benefit and support the library.

To ensure safety for participants and volunteers, all COVID-19 safety regulations and protocols will be observed. All books available for sale were physically in the library prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and the building’s subsequent closure.

No books or other items are being accepted as donations until further notice.

COFFEE WITH A COP: The Trumbull County Women for Trump will hold a Coffee with a Cop 9 to 11 a.m. today at the Trumbull County GOP headquarters, 1195 Niles Cortland Road SE, Howland.

SCRAP TIRE DROPOFF: Howland Township is conducting a scrap tire dropoff for Howland residents only. Residents may drop off a maximum of eight passenger tires with no rims at the Public Works Department, 3600 North River Road, 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Friday.

RETIREES CANCEL EVENT: The Howland Schools Retirees lunch meeting scheduled for this week has been canceled. Watch for further announcements concerning the November and December lunches.
