Seeing eye: Gather hazardous household items for disposal

COLLECTION SATURDAY: The Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste Management District will hold household hazardous waste collection 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the district, 5138 Enterprise Drive, Warren.

Items accepted include household cleaning products, pesticides, gasoline / kerosene, propane tanks, lawn and garden chemicals, automotive chemicals, pool chemicals, indoor pesticides, fire extinguishers and rechargeable batteries.

Items that will not be accepted are medical waste/ sharps, latex paints, smoke detectors, joint compound, business waste, drums, and acetylene tanks / unknown tanks. The collection is open to residents of Geauga and Trumbull counties only.
