Seeing Eye: Children can get Healthy Start

The National Guard members have been instrumental in helping distribute food to member agencies and assisting with Travelling Food Pantry stops throughout the Mahoning Valley. The Ohio National Guard’s 671stSupport Battalion will begin its deployment at the food bank through the end of December. With the help of the Ohio National Guard, the food bank and its member agencies have distributed 1.5 million more pounds of food compared with this time last year, including more than 900,000 pounds of produce.

TIRE DROP OFF: Niles city is holding its annual tire drop off 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today to Friday for Niles residents who may place up to 10 tires in the bin provided behind the safety service complex near the recycling bin, 15 E. State St. Rims are also accepted.
