100TH ANNIVERSARY: Third Christian Church, 241 First St., Warren, will celebrate its 100th anniversary Sunday with a special service at 11 a.m. Following worship service, there will be a drive-thru anniversary dinner at the cost of $10.

37TH ANNIVERSARY: Agape Assembly Church, 426 Nevada Ave. SW, Warren, will celebrate its 37th anniversary 11 a.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be Pastor Corneill Morgan of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Warren.

YOM KIPPUR: Temple El Emeth, Logan Way, Liberty, will mark Yom Kippur on Sunday and Monday with a virtual Kol Nidrei service 7 p.m. Sunday with virtual service and Yizkor at 10 a.m. Monday and shofar at 7:55 p.m. A virtual Erev Sukkot service will be 5:45 p.m. Friday.

PREPARING FOR RALLY: Men’s Rally in the Valley 2020 will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown. The Covelli Centre has not had an event since March, and the Men’s Rally is the only event scheduled until the first of the next year. On the website, www.mensrally.org, is a schedule with Warren Mayor Doug Franklin opening with prayer. Scheduled are Tim Ginter, three-term state representative; Victory Christian Praise Band; Lee Haney, eight-time Mr. Olympla, Jeff Stultz with Celebrate Recovery; Teen Challenge; Dave Roever, a Vietnam veteran; J.J. Weeks, Christian recording artist; and Mike Lindell, My Pillow inventor,

There is no admission fee, and parking is free. Masks will be required inside the building, and social distancing will be in place. Also food trucks will be available.

GUEST SPEAKER: Unity Spiritual Centre in Girard welcomes guest speaker and spiritual leader candidate David Byrley on Sunday. If possible, and you feel safe, people are welcome to come in person. INSTALLATION: Warren native Cecil Boggs, who has been a pastor for more than 30 years, officially will be installed 11 a.m. Sunday as overseerer with Christway Assemblies, which is a part of Christway Resurrection Outreach Ministries headquartered in Atlanta. The church was founded by Bishop Jeffery Briggs and his wife, Apostle Karen Briggs.

Elder Cecil Boggs and Kenneth Bryant will be appointed and installed to office of overseer. They are being installed in the lower house of the Episcopal office and their next elevation will be the Bishopric.

PRIESTHOOD SUNDAY: The National Catholic Committee on Scouting has joined with the USA Council of Serra International in celebrating Sunday as Priesthood Sunday. Priesthood Sunday is a day set aside to thank and acknowledge the Catholic priests of our parishes for the work they do. Parishioners are asked to send their congregational leaders a note of thanks, a card of appreciation or just extend a simple greeting to let them know that they are truly special and that they are valued, cherished and loved.

Members of non-Catholic congregations also are invited to extend their sentiments of appreciation to their own ministers, clergy, preachers, parsons and other clerics.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARIES: The Office of Pro-Life, Marriage and Family Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown is sponsoring a wedding anniversary celebrations to honor couples who are observing their 25th, 40th, 50th or over anniversaries in 2020 at 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. Couples planning to attend this celebration need to register at their parish before Wednesday. The celebration will include Mass with Monsignor Robert Siffrin, renewal of marriage vows and a personalized certificate for each couple. Couples may opt to attend the Mass in person at St. Columba Cathedral or they may participate remotely via livestreaming on the diocesan website at www.doy.org. Limited spaces are available for couples at the cathedral.

BIBLE STUDY: Mount Olive FBH Church will begin Bible study at 8 p.m. Wednesday via conference line by dialing 712-4010 and code 883502#.

DRIVE-UP SERVICE: One Nation Kingdom Ministries will host a drive-up service 10 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot at Focus Building, 2051 Niles Road, Warren. Bible study will be livestreamed via Facebook at 6 p.m. Wednesdays.

METAPHYSICS: Unity Spiritual Centre’s “A Course in Miracles” with Larry and Karen Etheridge as facilitators will continue to meet 7 p.m. Sundays. “Association for Research and Enlightenment” (ARE) with Jim Thornton and Rev. Rose Houston as facilitators will continue to meet 10 a.m. Thursdays. Sign-on protocols for these classes are identical to what is used for the above mentioned OM classes. “Prayer and Meditation” with Cay Tomerlin as facilitator will continue to meet 7:30 a.m. Monday-Friday by phone only at 1-701-791-9075.

ZOOM PRESENTATION: Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center will offer a virtual presentation via Zoom with Natalie Terry, titled “Election Meditation Circle: The Hidden Ground of Love.” This virtual opportunity will take place every Tuesday through Nov. 3. There will be a weekly meditation circle. On Tuesday evenings, a silent meditation with a communal intention of unity and communion will take place. Participation in all sessions is not required. Registration is not required. Natalie Terryserves as the assistant executive director of VMESC. She is a minister, preacher and educator. The Zoom link will be available on the website vmesc.org.
