Buddy Walk coming to Eastwood Field

DOWN SYNDROME ASSOCIATION EVENT: The Down Syndrome Association of the Valley will host the 11th annual Buddy Walk with a twist for 2020 as a drive-thru noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Eastwood Field parking lot. Registrants are invited to drive through the parade from the safety of their vehicles in support of their buddies. All participants will remain in their vehicles and drive through the parade route that includes Santa, superhero characters, a drumline, mascots and cheerleaders. The Buddy Walk helps generate 75 percent of the DSAV’s operating expenses. Register online at dsav.org.

SCRAP TIRE COLLECTION: Liberty Township, through a grant from Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District, will conduct its annual scrap-tire collection. The program is a drop-off collection from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the township administration building, 1315 Churchill Hubbard Road. No tires will be accepted before or after these dates. There is a limit of eight tires per residence. Tires must be off rims. Passenger car and light truck tires only.
