Library hosts bite-size history

Seeing Eye

WOMEN’S SUFFRAGE: The McKinley Memorial Library will host a program on Women Suffrage “A Bite Size History Presentation” 3 p.m. Friday on the library Facebook page and YouTube channel. This summer marks the centennial of women’s suffrage when the passage of the 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote. There will be a short video presentation and an optional discussion following.

RUMMAGE SALE: The Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., will host its annual rummage sale 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Those attending are asked to wear masks and observe social distancing,

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: The Vienna Township Neighborhood Watch has kicked off a school supply drive to run until Aug. 21. All donations will benefit the students of the Mathews Local School District. These supplies will help the youth in Vienna and Fowler townships. Businesses that donate will be spotlighted on the Vienna Township Neighborhood Watch Facebook Page.

Dollar General, located in Vienna Township on Warren Sharon Road, has volunteered as a collection site, along with McCulloughs Hardware, the Vienna Fire Department and Fowler Post Office.
