TNP adding to home repair list

SEEKING CANDIDATES: Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership is seeking potential candidates for their home repair waitlist. To be added onto the waitlist for emergency or acessibility home repair, individuals must be income-qualified residents of Trumbull County and own their home. For more information, leave a message at TNP emergency home repair program at 330-647-6301, Ext. 205.

HELP SENIORS: To help ensure older Ohioans stay connected while staying at home, the Ohio Department of Aging has started a new service of daily check-ins by phone call of Ohioans age 60 and older. The Staying Connected program will call older adults who sign up for the service during a predetermined window of time. When participants answer the phone, they will need to respond with touch tone to confirm they are OK. If no one answers after three attempts, then a call is made to an alternate contact or emergency service. Eligible Ohioans can sign up at aging.ohio.gov or call 1-800-266-4346.

ER DOCTOR: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will host a program on “An ER Doctor: How to Triage Your Busy Life” 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The talk will be available for free by Dr. Darria Long and will be followed by discussion on how to make busy lives easier. Participants must have Internet access and a valid email address to participate. Call 330-652-1704, Ext 3. or email mckinley@mcklib.org.
