SUMMER PHOTO CONTEST: The Trumbull County Metroparks are holding a summer photo contest. Entries are accepted through 2 p.m. Sept. 18. Photo entries must be taken at a Trumbull Metroparks property and need to include the date and location the photo was taken. Rules and regulations for the contest are listed at the metoparks’ website at www.trumbullmetroparks.org. Entries can be emailed to Zachary Svette at Zachary.svette@trumbullmetroparks.org

The finalists will be judged and chosen by Trumbull County Metroparks Facebook followers. One photo per season will be declared the winner. Winning photos will be published on the Trumbull County website and winners will receive prizes.

PROGRAMS AT LIBRARY: McKinley Memorial Library is offering various programs for June. A recipe exchange is offered Monday on the library’s Facebook page. There will be a new food category next week. People can share comments and a favorite recipe.

There is also a Bite-Size History 10 a.m. Wednesdays on the Facebook page.

FRIENDS CANCEL EVENT: The Friends of the Mosquito Lake Park have canceled the annual flea market originally scheduled for July 11. The event will return in 2021.
