Mental health help available online

Seeing Eye

VCS PROVIDES VIDEO-BASED APPOINTMENTS: Valley Counseling Services (VCS) will continue providing mental health services to residents of the Mahoning Valley throughout the governor’s stay-at-home order. Necessary precautions are being made to keep clients and staff safe. Most services will be phone-based or video-based. Clients do not need to cancel their appointment. Instead they will receive therapy, case management, nursing and psychiatry services in the safety of their home. VCS staff will contact anyone with an existing appointment to make the necessary arrangements for their telehealth appointment.

For residents needing extra support to assist with their anxiety, depression or other mental health related concerns during the coronavirus pandemic, they are encouraged to call and schedule a same-day appointment. Visit vcs.fcs serves.org or call 330-399-6451 for more information.

LIBERTY VOLUNTEERS: Liberty Township trustees are working with area churches and the police department to help residents during the COVID-19 outbreak. Volunteers will help people who may need food or other deliveries while practicing social distancing. Local residents who need help can call one of the volunteers to pick up a curbside grocery order placed at a store in the township and they will deliver it. Call the township administration building 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at 330-759-1315, Ext. 1001; Liberty First Assembly of God any time at 330-539-0003; New Life Christian Fellowship any time at 480-280-2090; and Shiloh Full Gospel Church: any time at 330-518-2462.
