Mission asks for hams for Easter
FOOD DROPOFF: The Warren Family Mission is in need of hams for its planned Easter dinner on April 10, which officials have said will be carryout only. The hams can be dropped off 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Saturday at the mission, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren.
DECORATION REMOVAL: The caretaker at St. Stephen Cemetery in Niles has requested that all Christmas decorations be removed by March 29. Any that remain after that date will be discarded.
FAIRHAVEN RECEIVES GRANT: The Fairhaven Foundation in Niles has made history receiving its largest grant ever for the Fairhaven Bulldog Backpack program. The foundation was able to receive a $10,000 Ronald McDonald House Charities grant providing one third of the money needed to launch the program. The Fairhaven Bulldog Backpack program ensures that 140 at-risk students, which is nearly 33 percent of the enrollment, will receive free or reduced meals per day, weekends and holidays for 41 weeks per year. The program helps families whose loved ones deal with developmental disabilities. For information on the program call the Fairhaven Foundation at 330-652-9800, Ext. 223.
