Event takes on injustices
ONLINE CHALLENGE: The YWCA Mahoning Valley is hosting an online 21-Day Racial Equity and Social Justice Challenge beginning Monday.
Participants will be provided with curated articles, podcasts and activities delivered to their in-boxes. Emails will be sent Monday through Friday each week until April 20.
The 21-Day Challenge is an opportunity to dive deep into creating more effective social justice habits that deal with race, power, privilege and leadership. The aim is to help participants discover how racial inequity and social injustice impact the community. It is also a way to connect with others and identify ways to dismantle racism and other forms of discrimination.
Registration for the challenge is open on YWCA Mahoning Valley’s website, www.ywca mahoningvalley.org. YWCA also will be facilitating conversation in the 21-Day Challenge Facebook group, in which participants can discuss the content and engage with others taking the challenge.
