Celebrate Seuss at library event

SEUSSICAL EVENT: The Seussical program to celebrate Dr. Seuss will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Brookfield Library. The event will include crafts, snacks, games and other activities. Program is for children ages 3 to 12. Registration is required at the library.

LEPRECHAUN EVENT: Lunch with the Leprechaun will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 14 at Fellows Riverside Gardens Rossi Auditorium, Youngstown. Come dressed as a leprechaun and join the parade of leprechauns. Irish music will be performed by County Mayo, and there will be a special appearance by the Irish Brigadeers and family, and Burke Irish Dancers. Catered by Kravitz Delicatessen.

AGRONOMY SCHOOL: The Ohio State University Extension will be hosting the Northeast Ohio Agronomy School on March 11 at the Bristolville Community Center in Bristolville.

A wide variety of topics will be discussed throughout the day including weed management, H2Ohio and nutrient placement, variable rate application, soybean maturity and economic outlook. Speakers for this year’s event are Greg LaBarge, Laura Lindsey, Lee Beers, Les Ober, Andrew Holden, Angela Arnold and presentations from sponsors.

RUN FOR ROSES: The Run for the Roses seventh annual Warren Relay For Life Night at the Races to benefit the American Cancer Society will be held March 21 at the Hippodrome in Warren. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. and horses race at 7 p.m. The event also will include a 50-50 raffle and auctions. Cost is $30 per person.
