Youngstown Air Reserve Station to be focus at library

910TH AIRLIFT WING HISTORY: The Howland Library Branch will host a program on “History of the Youngstown Air Reserve Station” 2 p.m. Saturday. Discussion will focus on history and mission of the local 910th Airlift Wing at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station.

PARTNER VIOLENCE: Penn State Shenango will host a program, “Breaking the Silence,” 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday in the campus’ Lecture Hall Gallery. The inaugural event will unmask one of society’s biggest problems — intimate partner violence. The event will include a hands-on activity, speakers who will share their personal stories, information tables and light refreshments. Agencies that will be in attendance include AWARE Inc. (Sharon), The Crisis Shelter (New Castle), Someplace Safe (Warren) and Sojourner House (Youngstown).
