EVENTS AT HOSPITAL: Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital auxiliary, 8747 Squires Lane NE, Howland, will hold a book and gift sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the cafeteria area, ground floor.

TORCH CLUB TO MEET: The Youngstown Torch Club will sponsor a presentation on Scotland’s unexamined role in the Second World War on Wednesday in the Schwebel Room in Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University. The program will feature George Grant, retired engineer and native of Glasgow, Scotland, presenting: “Scotland in World War II,” examining Scotland’s position within the United Kingdom, and the sequence of events that brought the war to Scotland. “CATALYST FOR CHANGE”: The 2019 McKinley History Speakers Series, presented by the McKinley Memorial Museum and the McKinley Memorial Library, welcomes Christopher Kenney of the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum for his lecture “Catalyst for Change: The Assassination of President McKinley,” 1 p.m. Saturday. Events take place in the Auditorium on the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial grounds. Program is free and handicap accessible.
