Grant to expand Jewish Family Services’ outreach program
YOUNGSTOWN — Jewish Family Services received $15,000 in funding from the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board for its outreach program.
In the outreach program, Shay Erez, outreach coordinator, works with individuals who are 60 years and older. She makes in-home visits and assists individuals with signing up for Medicare, Medicaid or other needed services, according to information released by the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation.
Erez also coordinates programming for older adults. The program is free. The funds from the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board will allow Jewish Family Services to expand its outreach program.
The agency meets the social service needs of the community through programs and services like guardianships, counseling, group housing and home-delivered meals. For more information, visit jewishy oungstown.org.
