Miniature trains on display on the Ridge

EVENT AT MOSS HOUSE: The Moss House Ancestral House, 1499 Burnett St., Mineral Ridge, will hold a large display of miniature trains that hauled coal and miniature displays of Mineral Ridge and Niles from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the house as part of the monthly open house.

BB GUN PROGRAM: The Mosquito Lake State Park in Bazetta will offer a BB gun program noon Friday at the park across from the camp office, 1439 Wilson Sharpsville Road, Bazetta. The BB gun range is next to the archery range, across from the camp office. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

TMM NEEDS VOLUNTEERS: Trumbull Mobile Meals needs drivers to deliver meals to those in need in Trumbull County. There is an urgent need for drivers in Lordstown, but all areas of Trumbull County can use help. There is a large segment of the community who are disabled veterans, wheelchair-bound, use walkers and canes and are to ill to prepare a meal. Call 330-394-2538.

SANTA RUN: The 13th annual Santa Run and Santa Cruise Car Show will be held Aug. 17 at Yellow Dog Saloon and Grill, 2242 Greenville Road, Mecca. Poker run registration is 10 a.m. to noon, with a blessing of the bikes at 11 a.m. Car show registration will be 9 to 11 a.m.

There will be an auction, games, music, entertainment and deejay from 5 to 9 p.m.

All proceeds will benefit Santa’s Hideaway in Middlefield, a place where terminally ill children can go to have fun and see Santa Claus.

FARM MARKET: The Niles Farmers Market will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 26 on the lawn of the McKinley Memorial Library, 40 N. Main St. There will be various vendors and merchants selling items.
