NASA SOLAR SYSTEM: “Hands-On STEM with a NASA Solar System Ambassador” will be 2 p.m. today at the Brookfield Library Branch.

Explore rocket science in an interactive program with Michele Evans, a NASA solar system ambassador. The program is for children ages 5 to 12. Registration is required at the library.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Volunteers are needed to help remove flags from area cemeteries. Volunteers should meet 8:30 a.m. Friday at Pineview and 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery.

GALAXY QUEST: The Howland Library Branch will hold “Galaxy Quest” 3 p.m. today. Participants can test their knowledge of galaxies near and far with a pub-style trivia event.

The game is for teens entering grades 7 to 12. Registration is required.

GENEAOLOGY BASICS: The Warren Trumbull County Public Library will hold a genealogy basics 6 p.m. today. This class includes a discussion of how to begin family history research as well as a tour of the Local History and Genealogy Center, focusing on the major print, microform and digital resources unique to research in Trumbull County.
