RIBBON CUTTING: A ribbon cutting and dedication is 2 p.m. Saturday for the new entrance at Hubbard Public Library. State Sen. Sean O’Brien and state Rep. Glenn Holmes will attend. Various events and activities are planned. The new entrance features the permanent home of the Flight of the Eagles community project eagle statue. The eagle, made by Hubbard artist Linda Clark, is mounted on a pedestal made by Hubbard High School wood technology class.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM: Free Indeed Prison Ministries will present Criminal Justice Reform Symposium 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Aulizio’s Banquet Center, Warren. Keynote speaker is Judge Theresa Dellick, who will discuss effective rehabilitation for youth and the reduction of recidivism. For information and tickets, call 234-830-0316.

CRAFT CLASS: The Girard Multigenerational Center, Trumbull Avenue, will hold a craft class 9:30 a.m. today and celebrate National Volunteer Week at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday. The Girard 4th Ward blockwatch is 5 p.m. Wednesday at the center.

BENEFIT SET: A benefit to help Hubbard native David Davis is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Wheatland American Legion, 2 Cherry St., Wheatland. Pa. There will be a dinner, basket raffle and 50-50 raffle. Davis, a 13-year Army veteran, was recently diagnosed with multiple melanona.

FREE CONCERT: The Students Motivated by the Arts will hold the Youngstown community concert band 6 p.m. Thursday at Ohio One, 23 E. Boardman St., Youngstown. The concert is geared toward youth and their families.
