The Seeing Eye
READ 4 FUN: More than 120 United Way volunteers will read to more than 200 kindergarten through second-grade classrooms in 19 elementary buildings across Trumbull County today to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America, which is a part of United Way of Trumbull County’s “Read 4 Fun” program. It is one of three programs under the United Way’s Reading Great by 8 Literacy Initiative.
The program will reach nearly 4,300 students today. Volunteers will spend about a half hour in each classroom reading either a Dr. Seuss book or select books chosen for schools.
