Idora Park history offered

REMEMBERING IDORA PARK: Youngstown author and local historian Richard Scarsella will present the history of Idora Park 6 p.m. Thursday at the McKinley Memorial Museum in Niles. His presentation will cover the grand ballroom, the wooden roller coasters, the water ride, kiddieland, the picnic gardens, the minor league ball field and Idora French fries.

SCOUTS FORMING TROOPS: Girl Scout troops are forming but leaders and other volunteers are needed to join for a troop formation information event 6 to 7 p.m. Jan 30 at First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., Girard. Those in kindergarten to fifth grades are welcome.

ART CLASSES: Trumbull Art Gallery, 158 N. Park Ave., Warren, will hold various art classes, including Ink Jewelry 1 to 4 p.m. Jan 26 and Kids Creations class “Personalized Keepsake Boxes” 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday for ages 6 to 10.
