Park lighting brings in season

BRISTOL SETS HOLIDAY CELEBRATION: Bristol Township park lighting ceremony is 6 p.m. Sunday at the center, Route 45 and 88. Several buildings are decorated for the holidays, as is the park. GROCERY DISTRIBUTION: Deliverance Temple Church, 1849 West Ave., Warren, in conjunction with Youngstown Community Food Center Inc., Gleaners Food Bank, is distributing grocery items 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. HOLIDAY CELEBRATION: Brookfield Township will hold the ninth annual community Thanksgiving dinner 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the fire hall on state Route 7 for Brookfield and Masury residents. The event is sponsored by the Brookfield Township Outreach Association. To order meal deliveries for the homebound, call 330-883-4122. A food drive taking place in the Brookfield schools also will help to help get food to local food pantries.

STEAM CLUB: The McKinley Memorial Library will hold Steam Club 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. today for children at the McKinley Birthplace Home, Niles. Children will experience virtual reality and science activities using science, technology, engineering and math.

CULINARY CLASS: Culinary Curiosities will be held 4 p.m. today at the Warren Trumbull County Public Library for grades seven to 12. Participants will taste and create using basics of cooking, featuring different recipes each month. This month’s recipes are three-bean chili and cornbread.
