Seeing Eye

SUMMER READING ENDS: The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will hold its summer reading program finale party 1 p.m. Friday. The “Libraries Rock!” end-of-summer program will include musician Duke Otherwise. There will be an ice cream social.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: Operation Back 2 School is a United Way of Trumbull County, communitywide school supply drive to help low-income students return to school with the school they need. Community members may donate new supplies through Aug. 10 at Dollar General locations, Menards, Trumbull Family Fitness and the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library.

To donate money, make checks payable to United Way of Trumbull County, c/o Operation Back 2 School, 3601 Youngstown Road SE, Warren 44484.

SUMMER HISTORY CAMP: The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is hosting summer camps at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center in Youngstown. The Young Historians summer day camp will be held Monday to Aug. 3 for ages 12 to 15. Campers will learn what it was like to be an historian while completing a special project such as a website, video for an exhibit or local story.
