Dresses available for free

DRESS GIVEAWAY: Kyrsten’s Kloset dress giveaway and Chinese auction will be held noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Roosevelt School, 110 Orchard Ave., Hubbard. Girls at the fundraiser pick out the dress they want, and in return, they must sign a pledge to not drink and drive. Monetary donations can be made. The fundraiser honors a loved one’s memory while helping others in need. Kyrsten was killed by a hit-and-run drunken driver April 4, 2003. Kyrsten’s parents and a family friend, Renee Merrell, formed the Kyrsten Elizabeth Studer Foundation through the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. The foundation originally started as a scholarship fund, then became a nonprofit to help children and families in need. There will also be a bake sale and auction.

CLUB HOSTS CARNIVAL: The Howland High School Interact Club will hold a school carnival 6:30 p.m. Friday at high school gymnasium.

Main St. Coloring can help reduce stress. Coloring materials will be provided. The event is free, but registration is needed by calling the library at 330-652-1704, Ext. 7212.
