New Year’s concert slated

Tribune Chronicle

NORTH LIMA — The sixth annual New Year’s Eve gospel sing will have the largest number of performers so far, with eight groups and artists taking the stage in a five-hour concert beginning 7 p.m. Dec. 31 and ending shortly after midnight at the Old School Marketplace, the former South Range High School, 11836 South Ave.

Headlining the event again is Jerry Garcia, a national soloist from Adrian, Mich., and regional favorite, quartet Glory Way, from Mansfield. The Golden Street Singers from Farmdale will host the evening.

Soloists Michael Gardner from Tallmadge and Christine McLean from Carrollton will make return appearances.

New for the event this year are Kelly Dunlap of North Lima, Bill Wiczen of Akron and Cheryl Hardgrove of Canal Fulton. Fellowship and finger foods follow the concert.

There is no admission charge, but a love offering will be taken.
