TOASTMASTERS TO MEET: The Warren Toastmaster Club will meet 9 to 11 a.m. today at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. NE, Warren.

TRTA TO HELP HABITAT: Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley (HFHMV) will be getting some support from the Trumbull Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) helping with a rehab project at 2153 Plaza Drive in Warren. TRTA members signed up to participate for the build site when Colin Penney, HFHMV’s director of programs, spoke at one of their meetings. Members will be painting and doing other interior tasks to get the house move-in ready.

TRTA meets bi-monthly at noon on the second Tuesday of the month. Retired teachers and household members living on a teaching pension are encouraged to attend. TRTA is an affiliate of the Ohio Retired Teachers. For more information, go to the website, www.trumbullrta.blogspot.com.

DANCE CLUB DANCE LESSONS: USA Dance Youngstown-Warren Chapter features Hustle dance lessons and a dance, beginning at 5 p.m. Aug. 21, at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. This month’s lessons are sponsored by Dave Czifra. Line dancing will be 6 to 9 p.m.

USA Dance Youngstown-Warren Chapter 2015 is a Volunteer 501 (c) nonprofit corporation dedicated to promoting the healthful benefits of ballroom dancing.

SEWING GUILD SCHEDULE: The Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has set its August schedule for neighborhood group meetings. Guests are always welcome.

Tuesday at 10 a.m. – Howland Happy Stitchers meet at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles-Cortland Road (Rt. 46), Howland. Cutting demontration by Peggy. For information call Carol at 330-856-4827.

WEAVERS GUILD MEETS: The Youngstown Area Weavers Guild will meet at 9 a.m. today at Firestone Park in Columbiana for their annual Spin-in. Members will demonstrate spinning, weaving and fiber arts at the Columbiana annual craft and antique show.

Attendees should bring a spinning wheel, fleece, drop spindles, loom and any other fiber project that is portable. Lunch is available at the park.

CAR CLUB TO HOST SHOW: The Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club is having a car show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in Boadman Park. This car show is an annual event.

There will be food, music, flea markets, 50 / 50, Chinese auction, bake sale and lots of beautiful cars. Most of the money raised is given to a local child to help with medical expenses.

This year the club is helping Abby Lipinski, 14, of Boardman, who has cancer.

SKI CLUB WINE TASTE: The Warren Ski Clubs are hosting a Wine Taste from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Greene Eagle Winery, 2576 Davis Peck Road, Cortland. Dinner is offered and there will be entertainment by Rick Bruckner.
