Regional chamber names Coviello president / CEO
YOUNGSTOWN — The governing board of the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber selected Guy Coviello as the economic development and business advocacy organization’s next president and CEO.
Coviello replaces Tom Humphries, president and CEO from 1997 through 2017, who returned in 2019. The transition is effective March 1.
“I am honored to have been chosen to lead the organization forward, and I am confident that by working together with other leaders at the local, regional and state level, we can accelerate the growth and expansion that our region is very capable of achieving. I also consider myself very fortunate to inherit an enthusiastic and dedicated chamber staff and a committed board of directors,” Coviello said in a news release.
He joined the chamber in 2014 as vice president of government affairs after nearly 30 years in editorial roles at the Tribune Chronicle. In 2018, Coviello was named president of the Regional Chamber Foundation.
The chamber did not release Coviello’s salary.
